Why does the title of this book contain the term “Psycho-metaphysical Mysteries”? The first part, “psycho”, references the aspect of the subject matter that relates to the human mind. The term “metaphysics” may be defined as a study about things that transcend the physical; studies that involve “philosophy” as a way of understanding, and “wisdom” about things known and understood, that allows the mind to transcend the knowledge and understanding that has been gained, and finally, “theurgy” which involves a science of spiritual evolution, that is the main subject taught and practiced in the Ancient Egyptian temple through mythic, and mystic writings, architecture and iconography of the temple. Therefore, this book examines the science of the Ancient Egyptian temple that is dedicated to the understanding and mentally enlightening process of spiritual evolution and discovery of the infinite.
Putting together, the teachings of the Ancient Egyptian mysteries and its theurgical science behind the mythic wisdom of the gods and goddesses with the temple architecture and the human mind with the catalyst of akhu or intuitional insight, of the Ancient Egyptian priests and priestesses, renders the conscious awareness of subject, the formal human person, in a state of ecstatic mystic self-discovery.
